Paoli's New Mingle Line - Designed for a world less tethered to desktop technology and more about expressive environments for docking, recharging and collaborating. In cherry or maple, plus woodgrain and solid color laminates.

Kershner Office and Paoli Introduce Mingle Casegoods for Executive Offices and Team Spaces, June 2010

Kershner Office and Paoli introduces Mingle, a collection of freestanding and modular furniture available in cherry or maple veneer and woodgrain or solid colored laminate. Mingle is designed for active environments that require progressive furnishing solutions for executive offices and multi-person workstations. The Mingle Zone™ allows users to easily manage cord and cable routing and to access frequently used items, while keeping worksurfaces clutter-free.

The benefits of a layered approach to furnishing arrangements
According to designer Dan Grabowski, G2 Product Development, Mingle components enable specifiers to take a fresh approach to layouts, while offering a simpler and more affordable furnishing choice. Mingle is available in Paoli’s new selection of cherry and maple finishes, as well as White and Platinum solid color laminate or woodgrain laminate.

“Mingle components create a landscape of appealing forms that break up the visual monotony in both private executive offices and open spaces,” stated Grabowski. “Layered worksurfaces, lower storage components and material options (wood veneer, laminate, aluminum, steel and glass) let designers create exciting compositions, from minimal to very expressive, that can be varied for each project.”

Benefits to layered furnishing solutions include:

Components in 18”, 29”, 54”, 72” and 84” heights create varied layers and increase storage potential in footprints of nearly any size.
Tall hanging cabinets enable wall space to become storage space.
Mid-height upper bookcases offer easier-to-reach compartmentalized storage.
Low bookcases hold binders, papers and supplies without taking up worksurface space or creating clutter.
Low storage units offer lateral files that open to the outside of the arrangement for access by coworkers or team members.
Cabinets have flush sides for a built-in look.
Wall units provide versatile cabinetry choices for conference room storage.
Upper bookcase and hanging cabinet doors come in wood veneer, laminate, the frosted glass look of Aluma or the luster of White Aluma.
Markerboards and tackboards add visual interest and individualized function.

A range of versatile executive office style
The comprehensive range of Mingle components and finish options enables specifiers to create a finished look from traditional to contemporary for executive offices.

Mingle offers a focused component group for freestanding desk and credenza and U- and L-unit arrangements, which remain highly effective for private offices. With Mingle, these standard components have been updated with mixed-material options and new storage accessories.

For executive group components, tilt-up modesty panels in desks, bridges, returns, credenzas and conference extensions keep wall outlets easy to reach. These panels are offered in veneer and laminate and in acrylic for desks. Also, the multi-purpose Zone accessory capability facilitates integrating monitor arms, power and data and further individualizes storage.

Facilitating team cooperation and interaction
For two, three and four-person workstations, a strong sense of team identity can be created by specifying mid-height storage components. These components allow for visual interaction, but still provide privacy. Mid-height storage also allows more daylight into spaces. When the furniture is used in freestanding teaming applications, employees have dedicated work areas, guest seating spaces, and an arrangement that promotes collaboration.

Work organization gets new “Zoning”
More than ever, everyone from executives to administrative support have multiple roles and need to store laptops, briefcases, wireless tablets, MP3 players and cellphones. Kent Robbins, Paoli Vice President, Marketing, reports that the design goal for Mingle’s Zone was a place for everything and everything within reach.

Mingle Zones feature lift–up doors on main surfaces (and conveniently reached sliding doors elsewhere) that open into a channel for cable routing, hanging storage trays and file racks, and for housing connections to power or data. When open, it’s a user-tailored activity center with files, charging stations and commonly used personal supplies in easy reach and, when closed, it’s a sophisticated accent to the furniture.

“The Mingle Zone is like having a personal organizer in each work space,” said Robbins. “Users can personalize their office for optimal comfort and productivity.” Zones at worksurface height can intersect with Zones at low storage heights for bi-level storage, filing, docking and recharging. In addition, monitor arms can be mounted in the Zone to increase work area.
